From a small humble farm stand we've grown again
We have always wanted to be more than just a market, for us, it has always been about the opportunity to do something for the community, it was a desire to be a conduit. We have been extremely fortunate to become stewards of this land and with some care and consideration, we have accomplished some pretty cool and interesting things.
2024 will be a year of further change as we open our doors to the public in a different way by offering our off-grid cabin vacation rentals. We will still be growing produce and creating products and pantry items. We will still have perennials for sale. We will still have bees, in fact, we will have more of them as we make them the star of the show in our farm experience tours. We will still be selling our products but through a different method than in previous years.
We also needed to make some hard changes. Though we loved making fries, and baked goods and having the opportunity to serve so many wonderful people - doing so left us so little time for our farm, our gardens, our bees, and each other.
So we made some changes. Being avid world travelers, we felt that we could turn what we learned from our adventures into a business. Our type of travel is that of being respectful of the communities we visit and the lands we travel on, it's being adventurous and curious, it's wanting to see and do things that are different from the 'tourist trail'. It's engaged travel. Our idea was, what if we could offer this type of travel experience to other like-minded travelers? Travelers who are looking for something different and unique.
And, so here we are today. In the spring of 2024, our market will shift to online with convenient pickup arrangements, online orders, and payment options.
We will be offering honeybee educational hands-on tours.
We will have three, off-gird small cabins which will be an experience all of their own, and we will offer self-guided and guided tours and itineraries.
