Possible Bigfoot sighting shocks, excites Silverton residents
On the evening of December 25, 2020, four friends were traveling home on Highway 6, just south of Silverton, when those in the front of the vehicle spotted what appeared to be a "huge, man-like figure" alongside the road.

One story that emerged involved a sighting from 13 years prior in Ruby Creek, not far from Green’s residence. A young girl was playing in her garden when an ape-like creature reportedly approached her, as detailed by The Province newspaper. The girl screamed, prompting her mother to rush over. Upon spotting the beast, she quickly scooped up her daughter and fled into the bush with her other children. The newspaper reported that this 'huge bear' left behind 'paw' prints the size of a newborn baby, with strides measuring five feet apart.
