Our Location

The Arrow Lakes

The Arrow Lakes

Fraser's Market is surrounded by natural beauty.  Grab yourself a coffee and a bite to eat and have a seat in our lounge area. Take in the stunning views and see if you can spot our resident Osprey.

We sit above Arrow Lake, with Ingersol Mountain directly across.  To the north is Saddle Mountain in all her beauty (we call her our Mount Fuji) who comes alive when the late day sun hits her.  Directly across the road is the proud Scalping Knife Mountain whose opposing size drawfs the surroundings.   To the southeast the view of the Valhalas will leave you wondering what took you so long to find this beautiful place on earth.

Our Market is very easy to find.  The convenient entrance runs off of the south end of the Mole Road pull-out.  Easy on and off the highway access, with parking for even the largest RV.

Motorcyclists, folks with dogs and families often make our pull-out a stop to streach their legs.

Take a long deep inhaul, now exhale slowly, feel your heartbeat slow.  This is what we feel every single day.

The West Kootenays are a place where time actually slows down.  There is so much to see, and do not matter what your preference.

  • Do your toes long to feel the soft sand of our beaches or maybe you can see yourself floating quietly along the lake in a kayak.
  • Perhaps a cold beverage is more of what would make your day perfect.  Visit our local Cidery, Meadery or Winery - they are all within 25 minutes of us.  Burton City Cider is just minutes down the road.
  • We have all types of accommodations here, from the squishy luxurious of Halcyon Hotspring to numerous Airbnb cabins.  Like to camp (so do we). Within minutes of our market you can find several BC Recreation sites, Provincial and private campgrounds, and a few exclusive sites where you can camp all by yourself.  Burton Historical Campground is 8 minutes from our doors.
  • The town of Naksup is full of wee treasures for visitor to discover, including art galleries, specialty shops, restaurants and a beautiful waterfront to wander along.

Make sure you subscribe to our monthly newsletter that will keep you up to date on what's happening in the Arrow Lakes region.  Need help planning your trip to our area, send us a note.

Additional Information

Fraser's Market is super easy to get to.  We are located right on BC Highway #6, 5 minutes north of Burton, 2 minutes south of the Arrow Park Ferry and 16 minutes south of Nakups.

  • From Vernon & the Okanagan:  Take BC-HWY 6, East from Vernon, BC.  You will pass through Coldstream, Lumby, Cherryville and through the Monashee pass.  After some high elevation travels, you'll drop down into the  Inonoaklin Valley, past the turn off to Edgewood, finally reaching the Needles Ferry.  Off on the Fauquier side of the lake, you'll continue on Hwy 6, through Burton and soon you'll see our signs.
  • From Revelstoke and Hwy #1:  Take the BC-Hwy 23 south turn towards the Shelter Bay ferry.  Once on the other side of Arrow Lake,  continue south towards Nakusp.  You'll come by Halcyon Hotsprings, Halfway Hotspring and soon you will find yourself in Nakusp.  Find and take BC-Hwy 6, south to Vernon.  You will know you are getting close when you spot the signs for the Arrow Park ferry.  We are ~2 mins from the turn off.  You'll start to see our signs, turn off the highway at the Mole Rd pullout, at Mole frontage rd.
  • From Kaslo, New Denver, Silverton, Winlaw, Slocan, Nelson and Castelgar:  If you are coming in from the south (Castlegar, Nelson, Winlaw etc.) you will simply take BC-Hwy 6 north.  If you are coming from Kaslo, then you will take BC-Hwy 31A to New Denver and then a right onto BC-Hwy 6 to Nakusp.  Once in Nakusp, turn left to stay on BC-Hwy 6, this time south to Vernon.
