cabin vacation rentals with farm Bee experiences

Where it all began

We fell in love with the Arrow Lakes very much by chance.  We were on a mission of sorts, scouting the backroads looking for a place with a little more elbow room than our home on Vancouver Island.  We had loaded ourselves and our puppy  Whinny in our Sprinter Van and set off from Cowichan Bay.  With a list of properties for sale in hand, we decided to take a new road for us, highway 6, east out of Vernon.  It was getting late when we found a forest service road and place to stop for the night.  The next morning, we headed along the highway, with the Central Kootenays as our destination.  Now being lovers of coffee, one will just not do. So by the time we crossed Arrow Lake on the Needles Ferry, it was time for another.  We finally found that coffee in Burton (sadly that stand is now closed).  Coffee in hand, we made out way to the lake.  Standing on the beach, looking north to Revelstoke and south west at the Valhallas, we knew this area was special.  We didn't find our new home on that trip, or the next one.  But finally, everything seemed to line up and we were able to purchase 4250 bc hwy 6.  We never forgot that search for coffee on our first trip into the region - it was the reason we knew we needed to open Fraser's Market.  A few years later, we've shifted gears and now offer cabin vacation rentals, self-guiede tour itinaries and bee  farm experiences.

What makes us tick - Our Guiding Principals

Our Principals

We are simple folks, with a simple mandate - we only offer to others, services, products and offerings that we can stand behind 100%.
When we began our cabin and experience journey, we knew we needed to continue with the approach.  Our cabin rentals are designed for those who are adventurous while seeking experiences with a note of relaxation.  We wanted to design and build an experience that we ourselves would find appealing and enjoyable.

Our Community

East Arrow Park can be found on the east side of Arrow Lake, south of Nakusp.  Our farm looks across the lake to the original settlement of Arrow Park.   Once a vibrant and prosperous growing region producing some of the finest apples and fruits found in Canada.   In 1965 BC hydro flooded the region to fulfill the agreement of the Columbia Basin Treaty.  Lost were those farms and agricultural areas that were once so vibrant. We are blessed to own a small parcel of excellent land, where today we grow experimental crops, farm grown produce and perennial plant material and offer them to those who drop into our wee market.
